Gregorios Clinic is the reference clinic for the therapeutic and medical care of people living with HIV. It provides outpatient services for the monitoring of HIV infection and the prescription of antiretroviral therapy, as well as 12 inpatient beds for complications related to the disease.
As part of its operation, the clinic runs specialized outpatient services for the monitoring of pregnancy in women living with HIV, counseling of serodiscordant couples, treatment of co-infections with viral hepatitis, opportunistic infections related to advanced disease, and management of patients receiving multiple therapies, including those requiring resistance genotypic testing.
Gregorios Clinic also provides free services for anonymous laboratory testing for Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), such as syphilis, HIV, hepatitis B and C, as well as services for the administration of post-exposure prophylaxis (Post-Exposure Prophylaxis, PEP).
Post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) involves the short-term administration of antiretroviral medications that prevent HIV transmission following potential exposure. PEP must be initiated as soon as possible and no later than 72 hours after the potential exposure.
Additionally, the clinic provides services for Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis, PrEP, as afternoon outpatient clinic every Thursday (15:00-18:00). PrEP is a method for preventing HIV transmission through prophylactic administration of antiretrovirals to people at higher risk of being exposed to HIV. PrEP is administered through afternoon outpatient clinic, every Thursday (15:00-18:00) following appointment (24800363).
The clinic employs two physicians, Dr. Georgios Siakallis, Infectious Disease Specialist, and Dr. Ioanna Georgiou, Internal Medicine Specialist, as well as 14 nursing staff members. The clinic’s personnel remain committed to providing personalized healthcare services based on current scientific evidence, through active participation in international working groups, the development of academic collaborations, and publications in internationally recognized scientific journals.
