The Endocrine Surgery Clinic specialises in the surgical treatment of endocrine gland diseases. The Endocrine Surgery Clinic of Nicosia General Hospital under the supervision of Dr. Marios Loizou is the first organised such clinic in Cyprus.

  • Surgical treatment of thyroid cancer patients who must undergo total thyroidectomy and extensive cervical lymph node dissection
  • Operations for thyroid conditions for which there is an indication for follow-up surgical intervention due to recurrent or residual disease.
  • Treatment of patients with hyperthyroidism (Graves’ disease, toxic multinodular goitre, solitary toxic adenoma) when conservative treatment alternatives have failed.

  • Cervical lymph node mapping. Ultrasound detection of parathyroid adenoma and parathyroid hormone lavage.
