The Pulmonary Clinic at Paphos General Hospital has been operational since 2008. It is led by its director, two Specialist Physicians, two Nursing Officers, and one Secretary.

The clinic offers a wide range of services related to the specialty of Pulmonology, including:

  • Nursing Ward (6 beds) for inpatient care
  • Outpatient Clinics
  • Consultations for inpatients admitted to other clinics
  • Bronchoscopy procedures
  • Polysomnography (sleep studies)
  • Spirometry tests
  • Measurement of lung diffusing capacity
  • Allergy skin tests
  • Tuberculin skin tests (Mantoux)
  • Exhaled carbon monoxide measurement (Smoking cessation clinic)
  • Minor interventions such as diagnostic pleural aspirations and biopsies
  • Administration of immunoglobulin E antagonists and monoclonal antibodies to patients with severe extrinsic bronchial asthma
  • Tuberculosis clinic
  • Education and research activities

The Respiratory Clinic operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, providing continuous care to patients in need.
