The Hyperbaric Department is located in a separate wing of the main Hospital building with its own entrance while maintaining access to the rest of the hospital. It is equipped with a state-of-the-art HAUX Category I Multi-Chamber system which can simultaneously treat up to 6 patients (4+2 seats).
The department is staffed by:
One physician – Special Pathologist with specialisation in hyperbaric medicine. Four hyperbaric special nurses with ICU, A&E and surgery clinic experience
General Information
Treatment for chronic cases is offered daily during working hours. Physicians can refer their patients for evaluation with an accompanying report and their contact details

Chronic skin ulcers
Chronic recurrent multifocal osteomyelitis
Grade II burns, > 20% BSA
Central retinal artery occlusion
Outpatient clinic for Diving medicine
The Clinic treats emergencies (e.g. divers’ disease) from all over Cyprus 24/7, while Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy and examination of cases of internal pathology take place daily by specialised staff. In addition, it offers consultation services on safety, suitability and other topics on diving medicine.
