Interventional Cardiologist and Director of Cardiology Department of Nicosia General Hospital. I am currently the chairman of the Scientific Council of State Health Services Organization (07/12/2023-09/05/2028).

My duties include Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI) including Primary PCI and complex coronary interventions, transcatheter structural heart interventions (TAVI, mitral and tricuspid valve transcatheter edge to edge repair, LAA occlusion and ASD/PFO closure, Coronary Sinus Reducer, Paravalvular Leak occlusions).

I studied medicine in the Medical School of National Kapodistrian University of Athens and completed mytraining in cardiology in hospitals of Greece and Cyprus. My PhD topic was “Associations of MTHFR mutations and hyperhomocysteinemia in young men with myocardial infarction”.

I was trained in interventional cardiology in Leeds General Infirmary, in 2010-2011, after winning a training grant awarded by the EAPCI of the European Society of Cardiology.

I am a scientific collaborator of the Medical School of University of Cyprus, and instructor of the European Resuscitation Council for the Advance Life Support (ALS) courses and director of Resuscitation and Acute Catheter Lab Emergencies (REACT) courses.
