Pediatrician
Elisavet Efstathiou specialised in Pediatrics and was awarded a Doctorate from the Medical School of the University of Athens in October 2017 with a distinction and doctoral thesis: “Pneumococcal carriers in Cyprus in healthy children 6-36 months old”. She also holds a master’s degree in Health Unit Management from the Open University of Cyprus. She graduated from Boston University with a Master’s Degree in Child Nutrition”. She attended and successfully completed her postgraduate education in the Early Nutrition specialist programme at Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich. She actively participated in European research projects. She is the author of Type 1 Diabetes – Complications, Pathogenesis, and Alternative Treatments (online book) and has published several scientific articles in internationally recognised journals. She is a clinical and scientific collaborator at the Medical School of the European University in Nicosia.
