Dr. Philippos Soudjis was trained as a Psychiatrist and Psychotherapist for adults in Germany. He works as a Medical Officer in the Mental Health Services of the State Health Services Organization (OKYPY) in Cyprus, serving both in the Outpatient Clinics and the Psychiatric Ward of the Limassol General Hospital. He also holds the position of Clinical Lead for the University of Nicosia’s Medical School at the hospital’s Psychiatric Clinic.

He studied Medicine at the University of Heidelberg in Germany and at the University of Silesia in Poland, where he completed his studies. He completed his specialty training in Psychiatry at the Public Hospital of Braunschweig in Germany, an academic teaching hospital of the Medical School of the University of Hannover. As part of his specialization, he completed a three-year advanced training program in Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy at the Falkenried Institute of Psychotherapy in Hamburg.

He was awarded the title of Specialist Psychiatrist – Psychotherapist by the Medical Association of Lower Saxony in Germany. Upon completing his specialization, he continued working at the same hospital as a Psychiatrist – Psychotherapist. After his promotion to Senior Consultant, he was responsible for the Acute Psychiatric Care Unit and the Psychiatric Emergency Department, while also supervising the psychiatric residency training program.

Subsequently, he worked in the private sector at a Medical Center for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy in Germany, providing care to outpatients and via Telemedicine, until his return to Cyprus.

He is a member of the following professional associations: the Cyprus Psychiatric Association, the German Association for Psychiatry, Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics (DGPPN) and the Medical Association of Lower Saxony (Ärztekammer Niedersachsen)

He is fluent in Greek, German, and English.
