Cyprus Ambulance Service

Cyprus Ambulances services a population of over 1 million people and operates over an area of approximately 5896 square mile with 75 ambulances (all with GPS system and Advanced Life Support Equipment) and 26 ambulances stations in different locations.

Our services are based across different locations in Cyprus and we provide emergency pre-hospital treatment, ambulance and transport for people facing medical emergencies, non-emergency patient transport, critical care adult retrieval services between hospitals and emergency response for Covid19.

Our main role is to respond to emergency 112 calls, providing pre-hospital patient care to patients across country, 24-hours a day, 365 days a year, but also for the following services:

  • providing pre-arranged patient transport
  • specialized transport services
  • stand-by at special events
  • Search and Rescue
  • inter-hospital transfers
  • Multi-casualty events and disasters

Ambulance Control Center

Cyprus Ambulance Control Center is the only one Ambulance dispatch center in Cyprus and is situated in Nicosia-Lakatamia area and operates a 24-hour-per-day, 7-day-a-week with advanced life support ambulance system covering all country.

Cyprus Ambulance Control Center is responsible for answering and responding to urgent and emergency  and non medical situations within in Cyprus or even Search and Rescue responses. It responds to calls to 112 phone calls, providing advice and providing medical care to those who need it as quickly as possible, using standards of clinical practice.

The Ambulance Control Center is operating with high technology systems, with GPS systems and Databases,Protocols and Guidelines for all the procedures.

Ambulance Call Center for Covid19 Emergencies

The Covid19 Call Center operates a 24-hour-per-day, 7-day-a-week.

This Call center is responsible for answering and responding to emergency  and non-emergency situations for Covid19. It responds to calls with number 1420, providing advice and getting help to those who need it as quickly as possible.
